Surah Al-Baqara – Chapter 2, verse 77

أَوَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

Awalaa ya'lamoona annal laaha ya'lamu maa yusirroona wa maa yu'linoon

Are they unaware that Allah knows all that they hide and all that they disclose?

 

Surah An-Nisa – Chapter 4, verse 147

مَا يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنْتُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيمًا

Maa yaf'alul laahu bi 'azaabikum in shakartum wa aamantum; wa kaanal laahu Shaakiran 'Aleema (End Juz 5)

Why should Allah [punish] you if you are grateful to Him and believe? Allah is All-Appreciative, All-Knowing.

 

Surah Al-Ma’idah – Chapter 5, verse 74

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

Afalaa yatooboona ilal laahi wa yastaghfiroonah; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem

Will they not, then, turn to Allah in repentance, and ask for His forgiveness? Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate.

 

Surah Al-Ankaboot – Chapter 29, verse 2

أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ

Ahasiban naasu any yutrakooo any yaqoolooo aamannaa wa hum la yuftanoon

Do people think that they will be let go merely by saying: “We believe,” and that they will not be tested?

 

Surah Ya-seen – Chapter 36, verse 22

وَمَا لِيَ لَا أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Wa maa liya laaa a'budul lazee fataranee wa ilaihi turja'oon

Why should I not serve the One Who created me and to Whom all of you shall be sent back?

 

Surah Az-Zumar – Chapter 39, verse 36

أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِالَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ

Alaisal laahu bikaafin 'abdahoo wa yukhawwi foonaka billazeena min doonih; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad

(O Prophet), does Allah not suffice for His servant? They frighten you with others apart from Him, although he whom Allah lets go astray, none can guide him to the Right Way.

 

Surah Al-Zukhruf – Chapter 43, verse 66

هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Hal yanzuroona illas Saa'ata an ta'tiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

Are they awaiting anything other than the Last Hour that it should suddenly come upon them without their even perceiving it?

 

Surah Muhammad – Chapter 47, verse 24

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا

Afalaa yatadabbaroonal Qur-aana am 'alaa quloobin aqfaaluhaa

Do they, then, not reflect on the Qur'an? Or are there locks on their hearts?

 

Surah At-Tur – Chapter 52, verses 35 to 43

(35) أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ

أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ (36)

(37) أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (38)

أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ (39)

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ (40)

أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ (41)

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ (42)

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (43)

(35) Am khuliqoo min ghairi shai'in am humul khaaliqoon (36) Am khalaqus samaawaati wal ard; bal laa yooqinoon (37) Am'indahum khazaaa'inu rabbika am humul musaitiroon (38) Am lahum sullamuny yastami'oona feehi falyaati mustami'uhum bisultaanim mubeen (39) Am lahul banaatu wa lakumul banoon (40) Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon (41) Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon (42) Am yureedoona kaidan fallazeena kafaroo humul makeedoon (43) Am lahum ilaahun ghairul laa; subhaanal laahi 'ammaa yushrikoon

(35) Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? (36) Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. (37) Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? (38) Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. (39) Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? (40) Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? (41) Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? (42) Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. (43) Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity).

 

Surah Ar-Rahman – Chapter 55, verse 60

هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ

Hal jazaaa'ul ihsaani illal ihsaan

Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness?

 

Surah At-Tawkir – Chapter 81, verse 26

فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ

Fa ayna tazhaboon

Where to are you then heading?
